reflection on first draft

My first draft had the overall same idea and clips used however after reflection I decided to remove any of the low quality clips as some were shot in poor lighting on a phone and replace them with clips shot on a high resolution camera. This improved the production quality of the video as a whole and allowed me to change the content of some the clips to make the narrative more seamless. I also restructured the order of the clips so that there are two clear halves of the video to show the difference in representation of the two groups as originally it was not very clear that there were two separate groups of youth. To add to the distinction of the two areas of representation i made sure that there were no fish-eye lens clips in the mainstream section of the video as the change in cinematography is very effective in separating the two.
I also added more visual effects such as increasing the brightness and contrast of the clips to emphasize the good summer weather as this allowed it to conform more to the codes and conventions seen in dance videos. In order to show higher editing skills I added more cuts to increase the pace of certain parts and to keep the cut rate up with the beat at all times, as before it was less in sync with the music. This gave the video a fast paced, rhythmic value to it which is essential for dance videos.
