My perfect audience member

My perfect audience member is somewhere between Mainstream and urban but not exclusively. The genre of the song is dance, and more specifically, jump up drum and bass which has become very mainstream in many areas of youth culture. The video will depict very typical activities for young people such as parties, festivals and just hanging out having a good time which emphasizes the idea of living for the weekend. This person will be all about having the best time they can while they still can. They will most likely wear fashionable mainstream clothes but also the video will include slightly more alternative street wear which will attract more "alt" groups such as skaters.

Key elements to include in the video

Cinematography Establishing shots at the beginning to set the scene/mood establishing shots often include panning shots from a high angle long shot but not always Medium and close up shots for the majority of the video to show detail and expression The lighting depends on the type dance song, as my choice is not really a club song and has a strong reggae influence the lighting will be bright and sunny and filmed mainly outside in the summer. Sound The song. No diegetic sound included. Editing At the start of the song the tempo is much slower which allows for longer cut rates on the establishing shots. Fade transitions will be used in certain parts of the song to emphasize the relaxed reggae vibe. effects such as layering translucent shots onto one another can increase the complexity ...

Three other videos by Shy FX

Who Knows feat. Chronixx - Shy FX remix This video is one of my favorite Shy FX videos because of the relaxed vibe it gives because of its use slow motion and a mixture of quick and slower paced cutting rates. The video is set in what appears to be Jamaica which allows the video to include many beautiful shots of the landscapes which only adds to the feel of the song. The fading transitions at the start of the video are very effective because at that point the song is much slower which creates a relaxed mood during the establishing shots. It is also very similar to how I want the start of my video to look because the song i have chosen is also slow and chilled at the start with strong reggae influences. Original Nuttah - Shy FX & UK Apachi The use of a fish eye camera lens in this video is very appealing to me as it allows the filmer to get very close to the artists and still get a lot of other mise-en-scene in the shot. It also creates a low budget, rough aesthetic whi...
